Australian Writer
vor 3 Wochen
Omniscient Digital is an organic growth agency that partners with ambitious B2B SaaS companies like SAP, Adobe, Loom, and Hotjar to turn SEO and content into growth engines. About This Role We’re hiring an Australia-based content writer to create long‑form content in General Australian English for a B2B SaaS client in the procurement space. This is a freelance position where you’ll work with our editorial team to produce well‑researched, engaging, and SEO‑optimised content tailored to professional audiences in the Australian market. If you're fluent in Australian English and comfortable researching and writing about a range of business topics—including procurement, operations, and B2B technology—we’d love to hear from you. The application passcode is gimme fairy bread. Please note that we do not work with writers who subcontract their work. Responsibilities Write high‑quality, long‑form content in fluent Australian English across a variety of B2B, SaaS, procurement, and business‑operations topics. Conduct thorough research to understand client products, target audiences, and industry context, ensuring content is accurate and insightful. Use our internal briefs to structure and outline articles clearly and logically. While our briefs provide direction, you’ll bring clarity and structure to each piece. Incorporate keywords and SEO best practices without compromising readability or quality, balancing optimisation with a natural, audience‑first writing style. Cite credible sources, stats, and examples to support arguments and enhance authority. Adapt your writing to match the voice and tone of different client brands, ensuring content feels authentic and aligned with messaging. Work closely with editors to revise and refine content based on feedback. You’re open to collaboration and committed to continuous improvement. Consistently meet deadlines and communicate proactively with the editorial lead regarding progress, questions, or blockers. Who You Are Based in Australia with native‑level proficiency in Australian English, including terminology, spelling, and grammar. Knowledgeable about Australian business environments, challenges, and trends. A strong writer with 2–3 years of experience creating content for B2B, SaaS, procurement, operations, finance, or related business topics. Skilled at explaining complex concepts in clear, engaging, actionable ways. Familiar with SEO fundamentals and comfortable writing for both readers and search engines. Able to tailor your writing to different audience types and business segments. Organised, self‑motivated, and reliable—you can manage your workload, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively. Open to feedback and collaborative improvement. Passionate about creating high‑value content that informs, engages, and supports business decision‑making. A degree in journalism, marketing, business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Portfolio Requirement Please submit 3–5 samples of written content in Australian English. At least 2 samples should focus on B2B or SaaS. Older samples are fine if paired with more recent work. Our Hiring Process We read every application and aim to get back to you within a few weeks of submission. Response times may vary depending on the time of year, number of applicants, and other factors. If we’re interested in moving forward with your application, we’ll likely reach out sooner via email. Benefits of Working With Us We're here to enable you to do great work and grow. We’re a 100% remote company, so you can work from anywhere. You'll improve your SEO, editorial, marketing, and project management skills. Ownership—there are ample opportunities to take on more client work. Ready to apply?
