Payroll Administrator

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. You are data driven with an eye for detail and accuracy, and are ready to take on your next challenge as a Payroll Administrator in this fast-paced role. You will be supporting the Payroll Manager and working closely with a small, collaborative team to manage payroll operations for the business across Australia and New Zealand. You have solid experience in payroll processing, data validation and reporting, with strong attention to detail that ensures accuracy in every task. Your ability to manage sensitive information, work with large volumes of data, and provide exceptional support to team members will be key to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities Assist with accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for approx. 2000 Australian and New Zealand based staff on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis Review and validate employee data, pay rates, and entitlements to ensure accuracy and compliance Support the team with large-scale data updates, reconciliations, and reporting activities Maintain payroll and HR records, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance at all times Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for payroll-related queries in a professional and customer-focused manner Interpret modern awards, Enterprise Agreements, and contracts to ensure compliance with legislative requirements Prepare and assist with payroll reconciliations, journals, and reporting for Accounts and line managers Assist with statutory reporting, superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and other third-party payments Provide administrative and project support across the Payroll and People & Culture teams as required Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience and working knowledge to interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and understanding of Payroll systems, legislations and processes Strong data management, reconciliation, and reporting skills Exceptional numerical accuracy and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a busy environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience using ADP Payforce and Kronos (WFS) highly desirable Relevant qualifications in Payroll, Accounting, or Human Resources an advantage We are 100% Australian owned and operated with over 100 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
