We are seeking an Executive Director to be responsible for the artistic vision, leadership and management of both The Pavilion and Sutherland Arts Theatre. You’ll report to the Board and provide strategic, and operational leadership to ensure the successful delivery of The Pavilion’s artistic, community, and commercial objectives. We are looking for an exceptional leader who can balance artistic ambition with commercial acumen, engage effectively with community and industry stakeholders, and position The Pavilion as a leading cultural destination within the Sutherland Shire and beyond. About The Role The Executive Director is responsible for generating a balanced program comprising venue hires (commercial and community events) and self-presented programs and activations that are accessible and attractive to diverse audience segments in the community. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Planning Artistic Programming Financial and Business Management Organisational Development and Operations Governance and Compliance Stakeholder and Community Engagement Marketing and Communications Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Risk Management Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a candidate who will provide leadership in setting and delivering the overall artistic vision and business operations for the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess: Multi-arts precinct vision, leadership and strategic acuity Significant commercial business, financial and general management experience in a comparable organisation High quality cultural sector programs, projects, events in arts and entertainment sector Audience development and sales acumen People management, recruitment and the creation of a positive and inclusive organisational culture Leadership in a customer focused environment with responsibility for delivering outstanding visitor services and experiences Exemplary stakeholder relations and experience in fundraising Fluency in written and personal communication style Understanding of external landscape and developments in the cultural sectors and trends in leisure, tourism and hospitality How to Apply Review our Candidate Information Pack.
