It is expected that the successful candidates will be required to work on a hybrid model of 50/50 for the duration of the engagement.

Security clearance:

All personnel engaged to work at ASIC premises, must be an Australian Citizen and will be required to complete ASIC Suitability and Baseline Assessment (ASB). This is unique to ASIC for the purposes of working in a regulatory organisation and is not to be confused with a Government security clearance.

Rates:

$120 - $150 per hour (inc. super)

ASIC is seeking three suitably qualified Senior Solution Architects to assist with both BAU and various other projects. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be required to:

Develop proposals and business casesTake responsibility for Design and Architecture and adherence to ASIC wide Vision and Enterprise Architecture standards and blueprintsLead teams (designers, other architects and developers) towards achieving whole of ASIC outcomesProduce solution designs and associated functional specificationsProduce integration designs for integration patterns (e.g Publish/Subscribe, Synchronous & Asynchronous patterns)Provide leadership and guidance in the subject of Application Architecture and Integration (Services and API Management)Implement operational solutions based on the EA target reference architecture and IT's Technology PrinciplesScope and design the overarching solution design in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and Enterprise Architects.Liaise with customer facing groups as needed to understand client and customer needs in a rapidly evolving environmentMake application design decisions that ensure effective, secure, scalable, convergent, flexible and manageable solutions of high standardsEnsure that the IT solution will satisfy the business needs in a cost effective, resilient and operable fashionEnsure that chosen architectural solutions are scalable in order to satisfy a future demand for the enhanced / new service(s)Ensure that chosen architectural solutions are convergent in order to take advantage of internal and external needs along with a broad range of service needsEnsure the quality of technical solutions developed by other Solution DesignersDetermine resource and capacity requirements for the application solutionDeal with deployment issues in a multi-tier architecture, for example, state management and transaction managementDocument deployment infrastructureAssist in the development and implementation of migration plansFollow mandatory and recommended practices of the reference architects when designing solutions.

Qualifications and experience:

TOGAF certification desirableArchiMate certification desirableBachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, computer science or related disciplineDeep experience in a similar Senior Solution Architect role.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:Extensive experience in producing solution designs and associated functional specificationsExtensive experience in implementing operational solutions based on the enterprise target reference architecture enterprise principlesProven experience in providing leadership and guidance across the domains of application architecture and integration (patterns, services and API management)Proven experience in one or more of the following: CRM, case management, workflow, portals / digital, Integration/middleware, reporting and data analyticsProven experience in and a detailed understanding of primary ASIC technology platforms: Microsoft .NET, CRM Dynamics,SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure & AWS Integration in a secured environmentKnowledge of legacy ASIC technology platforms: Adabas / Natural Mainframe, Lotus Notes, Siebel, Java, Oracle Service BusExperience in myGovId Integration is desirableExperience in Boomi EIPaaS is desirableExperience in developing and executing multi-cloud strategy (M365, Azure and AWS)Experience in Agile / Scrum methods and approaches.
