About this Role Join SunRice’s Corporate Development team and play a key role in shaping our growth strategy. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated professional to gain hands‑on experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investor relations (IR) within a dynamic, ASX‑listed global food business. This position can be based in our Chadstone (Melbourne) office or our Sydney CBD office. What You’ll Do Support M&A Execution: Assist in evaluating strategic, commercial, and valuation aspects of potential transactions and contribute to due diligence processes. Opportunity Assessment: Help analyse qualitative and quantitative attributes of potential acquisition targets. Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct research to identify strategic opportunities aligned with SunRice’s growth objectives. Investor Relations Support: Prepare investor presentations, assist with reporting, and undertake share registry analysis. Capital Markets Insights: Monitor equity and debt markets, monitor trading multiples, and support capital market initiatives. Board & Executive Materials: Contribute to the development of investment papers and strategic presentations for SunRice management. Strategic Planning: Contribute to initiatives that support SunRice’s 2030 Strategic Plan. What We’re Looking For Experience: 5+ years in a similar role within corporate finance or professional services. Exposure to investment banking, legal, or engineering sectors is a plus. Education: Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines. Completion or progress toward CPA or CA is advantageous. Skills: Strong analytical and financial‑modelling capabilities; understanding of M&A processes and valuation principles; ability to synthesise insights into clear, compelling documents and presentations. Attributes: Commercially astute with sound judgment; highly motivated, detail‑oriented, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment; collaborative and confident in building relationships across teams.
