Join our team of BYD Pre-Delivery Technician @ Glory EV Group Salary range ($55,000 – $65,000) depending on experience Key Responsibilities Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Perform comprehensive Pre-Delivery Inspections on all new BYD vehicles according to the manufacturer's guidelines and checklists; test all mechanical, electrical, and high‑voltage (HV) systems including battery, charging and infotainment features; conduct road tests to verify vehicle performance, braking, steering, and overall integrity; rectify minor faults, adjustments and repairs; install a wide range of factory and customer-specified accessories ensuring safety and compliance. Documentation & Compliance: Accurately complete all PDI checklists, work orders, and paperwork, recording time and materials used; adhere to dealership, BYD manufacturer, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies, especially when working with high‑voltage EV components. Workshop Support: Assist the Service Department with general workshop tasks, vehicle movement, and maintenance as required. Qualifications & Essential Requirements Experience: Proven experience in an automotive workshop environment, preferably in a Pre-Delivery or Accessory Fitting role. Technical Skill: Strong working knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems. EV Knowledge: Basic understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) systems and battery technology is highly desirable; formal EV training/certification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 EV Qualification) is a significant advantage. License: Current and valid full driver’s licence. Skills: High level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
