The Role We have a permanent position available for a Case Consultant, Claims Excellence to join our team based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Working alongside other Case Consultants, you will manage a portfolio of both Retail and Group Claims. Reporting to the Lead, this role is part of a newly created team and serves as an escalation point for complex and technical claims. As an established Case Consultant, you will use your experience to delve deeper into each claim, assess financially complex claims and address complex policy decisions. With a generous salary package and participation in our short‑term incentive program, your first four weeks will be spent in an interactive learning environment (face‑to‑face, virtual and online) covering the fundamentals of claims management. Over time, partnered with a specialist, you will continue to learn on the job, build your knowledge and skills, and gain delegated authority. This role is a pathway into senior level Claims roles as you gain technical expertise. About you 2+ years of life insurance claims management experience (mandatory) Knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting the life insurance industry (advantageous) Experience in Allied Health, Nursing, mental health or related medical fields (advantageous but not required) Ability to communicate and influence positive outcomes Highly customer‑centric and enjoy working in a collaborative environment Basic understanding of medical terminology (well regarded) Bringing our best to life – why join us We do work that makes a genuine difference to our customers, partners and community.
