Contract and Service Development Officer (Identified)

Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the ArtsState-wide Operations; Community Services & State-wide Operations; Communities; South BrisbaneThe Contract and Service Development Officer supports the Manager and Director in delivering contract and service development outcomes across a range of Community Services programs and initiatives, within their area of operation. The role will support the department's commitment to create Thriving Communities.The position requires a person to take personal responsibility for serving the government of the day and meeting the needs of the people and communities of Queensland. You will work towards a system of world class service delivery and public sector management.This position is designated as Identified.It is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person as set out in section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. One of the referees must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who can attest to the applicant's background, knowledge, skills and experience as they relate to the cultural capabilities.If you are eligible to apply for this vacancy, you can apply online. Undertake contract management functions associated with the department's investment with non-government organisations for the delivery of community services, through the application of the departments contract management framework, to ensure optimal public value in government investment.

Work as part of a regional team supporting the development and maintenance of community partnerships that support the objectives of the department.

Actively participate in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders within and across government and broader human services networks.

Support the preparation of a range of written materials that support advice to government, including correspondence, briefing material, and information papers concerned with the initiatives delivered by the work area.

Contribute to a professional environment through personal commitment to, ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.

As a member of the team, undertake tasks allocated by the Manager in a constantly changing work environment to support innovation and efficient delivery.

Professionally represent the department at forums and meetings as required.A
