The Role The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. The role is based within the Counselling, Violence Prevention and Response team and is closely supported by the Pregnancy Family Conferencing Coordinator. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing facilitation of pregnancy family conferencing; liaising across SESLHD perinatal services; organising conferences with DCJ and other stakeholders; mentoring and supporting casual facilitators; developing service improvements, ensuring cultural safety; and providing education to facilitators, health workers and interagency partners. Selection Criteria Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or recognised 4‑year degree in Psychology and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), or tertiary counselling qualifications with eligibility for appropriate association membership, or Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) Aboriginal Qualification Pathway Graduate Certificate or Master of Social Work (Qualifying). Clinical experience in trauma‑specific service provision in violence, abuse and neglect with demonstrated ability to facilitate discussion about complex and contentious topics. Demonstrated commitment to professional education, clinical and cultural supervision with experience providing culturally responsive facilitation and, if relevant, experience providing clinical supervision and leading education and teaching to staff and/or students. Excellent negotiation, decision‑making and advocacy skills including ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders across all organisational levels. Demonstrated ability to provide high‑level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
