Role Overview Role: Data Analyst Location: Sydney, NSW Employment Type: Permanent Must Have: Full working rights. No sponsorship available. Mandatory Skills: Strong experience working with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with hands‑on experience in Python and CMDB environments to support data quality initiatives, reporting, and analysis across IT Service Management (ITSM) functions. This role requires strong analytical thinking, the ability to work with complex datasets, and a solid understanding of configuration and asset management processes. The ideal candidate will help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of CMDB data while automating workflows and building analytical insights that support service operations and decision‑making. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and validate CMDB data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ITIL standards. Identify data quality issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and work with technical teams to implement corrective actions. Support CMDB updates, enhancements, and reconciliation processes. Understand CI (Configuration Item) relationships and dependencies across infrastructure and applications. Use Python to clean, transform, and analyze datasets from CMDB and other IT systems. Build automated scripts, workflows, and data pipelines to improve efficiency and data accuracy. Key Requirements: Strong hands‑on experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Proficiency in Python for scripting, data analysis, and automation. Understanding of ITIL concepts, especially Configuration and Asset Management. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
