Role Purpose As a Data Analyst, you will transform complex data into meaningful insights that inform strategic decision‑making across the organisation. Working closely with business and IT stakeholders, you will analyse data, build reporting tools, and contribute to broader data governance and business intelligence initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about data, highly analytical, and eager to make an impact whilst working at a for‑purpose organisation. Key Responsibilities Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques. Develop and maintain databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies that optimise efficiency and quality. Acquire data from primary and secondary sources while ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns within complex datasets. Create dashboards and visualisations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data‑driven solutions. Support data governance activities, including the development of data catalogues, models, and diagrams. Work closely with security and operations teams to support data analysis and governance requirements. Gather data governance and reporting requirements and address them in a timely manner. Qualifications and Experience Typically, this role requires a bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or industry experience in a related field. Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst. Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). Understanding of data governance principles and business intelligence frameworks. Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner. Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills. Desirable Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Purview and other data classification or data loss prevention tools. Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
