Your Opportunity Transit Systems NSW is seeking an experienced Accountant for a 12-month contract role based in Smithfield, Sydney. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a vital role in our financial excellence journey, contributing to the robust financial management that underpins our operational success and strategic expansion. Shape Our Financial Future Through : Cash flow reporting and forecasting that supports strategic decision-making Preparation of monthly management accounts driving operational insights Variance analysis and commentary that guides leadership decisions Workshop expenses & inventory reconciliation using cutting-edge TIMS Analytics Comprehensive payroll reconciliation, including monthly accrual journals and entitlements management Asset register maintenance and loan amortisation schedule oversight Monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring financial integrity Contract / charter income reconciliation and debtors ledger management BAS, superannuation, payroll tax and FBT compliance excellence Creditors processing with precision and efficiency Year-end process and audit support, delivering exceptional financial outputs Dynamic support for strategic ad hoc initiatives What Makes You Perfect for This Journey : CPA or CA professional qualifications (or near completion) Minimum five years' accounting experience within multi-company group environments Proven budget management and financial forecasting expertise Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, charts, and financial modelling Experience with analytical tools that drive business intelligence TIMS product experience highly valued Collaborative team approach with strong autonomous working capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why This Role Matters Join Transit Systems during an exciting period of growth and innovation.
