We are a Design & Construct company offering Proven and Innovative solutions to the foundation challenges of the construction industry. Ausipile is a privately owned Australian business, with over 75 years of combined construction experience in this sector. Based in SE Queensland, as piling contractors we are able to service Australia’s Foundation and Shoring challenges. We need aGeotechnical Engineer to perform the following duties: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Estimation and preliminary design for various types of piled retaining walls and foundation piles. An understanding of technical aspects of geotechnical investigation, civil/geotechnical design and documentation. Designing dewatering systems and estimating costs. Drafting design and construction details. Conducting site visits, inspections, and supervision of piling work. Analyzing soil and rock samples to determine engineering properties such as strength, compressibility, and permeability. Providing recommendations for earthwork construction, including excavation, fill placement, and soil compaction. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborating with civil, structural, and project management team members. Ensuring projects comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor's Degree or Higher Degree in the related field. Australian Experience At least 3 + years of Australian Experience OR Overseas Experience At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience Specialist Geotechnical Engineering Work Rights Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder Proficiency Holding a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, experience in designing retaining piling walls and proficiency in finite element software such as Plaxis, Slope/W, Seep/W, RSPile, Msheet and Abaqus, is highly valued.
