Join Northern Sydney Local Health District’s Child, Youth and Family team as a key part of our Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks program. As an Administration Officer with the Brighter Beginnings program, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating services, supporting clinicians, and ensuring a positive experience for children, parents, and carers across Northern Sydney. Where you'll be working Royal North Shore Community Health Centre What you’ll be doing The Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Community, Clinical Administration Officer, works as part of a CYF Health Administration Team, under the direction of the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks (BBHDC) in Preschools Program Manager, which is part of the Child and Family Community Service within NSLHD. The BBHDC program is a collaboration between NSW Health, the NSW Department of ECE, and preschools that aims to deliver health and development checks for preschool‑age children. The service aims to identify children with health and development concerns and enhance access to early intervention support for children and their families before they start primary school. The administration officer provides professional and client‑related administrative and some secretarial support to nursing and allied health staff, providing care and support for families enrolled with SNF Service. The role plays a pivotal role in contributing to a positive client experience by providing the professional, responsive, customer‑focused first point of contact, ensuring all phone, email and other enquiries are promptly responded to. The role undertakes various client‑related administration tasks, including accurate client registration in electronic medical records while ensuring the integrity of all client data held in the electronic client record. The incumbent assists with client correspondence and must be confident using digital platforms, databases and Microsoft Office Applications. The position also assists with appointment scheduling, including coordinating meetings and room booking processes for team and multidisciplinary clinical reviews and preparing meeting papers. The role also assists with accurate data and roster entry, including the use of spreadsheets. The position assists the manager with office equipment registers, organising maintenance requests, and servicing fleet vehicles. The role also assists the CYF Nurse Manager with essential administration support. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Qualifications and Experience Describe your experience in providing administrative support in a health, community, or customer service environment. In your response, please include examples of how you have communicated with families, carers, or clients in a professional and respectful manner. Demonstrated ability to meet the mandatory requirements of the Administrative Officer (AO3) role, including: Understanding of and commitment to NSW Health CORE values (Collaboration, Openness, Respect, Empowerment). Capacity to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to comply with NSW Health policies, procedures, and mandatory checks (including Working With Children Check, Criminal Record Check, and immunisation requirements). This role requires confident use of digital platforms and systems, including electronic medical records, spreadsheets, and communication tools.
