Community Social Volunteer, (fishing/Gardening) Central Coast (ACVVS) Enjoy chatting about gardening, fishing, and furry friends? Share stories and hobbies with someone who loves them too. Our client has a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys gardening, fishing, and spending time watching native wildlife. She would love the company of someone who shares these interests or is happy to simply chat over a cup of tea. This role involves regular visits to provide social interaction, light conversation, and shared enjoyment of hobbies. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Role Details Category: Seniors & Aged Care Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: 30 minutes to one hour per visit, 9am‑4pm Monday‑Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly Training: Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a Volunteer Coordinator.
