Pastoral Care Volunteer, Community Home Visits, Central Coast HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly residents living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer you’ll be a Christian actively involved with a local Christian church on The Central Coast and surrounding regions. You’ll supplement and complement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction you may: Support people to meet their spiritual needs Nurture spiritual development You’ll find that as a pastoral care volunteer you’ll nurture your own spiritual life. Your impact Volunteering alongside Pastoral Care can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent charity, We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that make a difference in the lives of our clients. We'll provide training, as well as specific pastoral care training, Spiritual Care Series, along with ongoing support and invitations to social events. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
