About the Role: The Podiatry Department is seeking a suitable qualified experienced Podiatrist interested working in a hospital setting. This position will provide podiatry services across Northern Health, including providing clinical oversight of podiatry services at Mernda Community Hospital and providing clinical care within the Foot Procedure Units. The role is an ongoing grade 3 role at 48 hours a fortnight, with days negotiable. To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrate competence in ability to assess clients, plan and implement appropriate intervention, ensuring optimal outcomes for Podiatry patients in inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Demonstrated clinical skills and understanding of the needs of Northern Health clients specifically in the areas of diabetes and wound management. Demonstrates and leads expertise in specialist areas of practise. Demonstrated advanced skill development in the area of expertise (TCC, NPWT etc.) Demonstrate commitment to involving clients and carers in decision making regarding their care. Ability to negotiating agreed plans of action with patients, carers, and health professionals involved in a patients care. Provides high level appropriate education to patients/clients and carers. Understands and facilitates interdisciplinary team functioning and how this can maximise person centred care. Next Steps . .
