Note that this role requires a high degree of mobility as training may at times have to be delivered off-campus and in other regions. ACE was founded in 2001 to provide heavy machinery and construction training to customers in Gippsland, Victoria. Over the years it has expanded its offering to include nationally recognised training and licensing accredited by VicRoads and ASQA, which it now offers across its four campuses in Sale, Traralgon, Bendigo, and Ballarat. We have a great culture and are looking for experienced and professional High‑Risk Work (WorkSafe Individual Assessors) Trainers and Assessors to join our team. We are on the lookout for the "trifecta" of skilled and experienced Trainer/ Assessor, to facilitate Dogging, Rigging (Basic & Intermediate), and Crane specialisms, who can teach and assess against the following topics: Perform Dogging (DG) Basic Rigging (RB) Intermediate Rigging (RI) Non‑slewing mobile crane (CN) 20‑tonne capacity slewing crane (C2) 60‑tonne capacity slewing crane (C6) 100‑tonne capacity slewing crane (C1) – desirable Over 100‑tonne capacity slewing crane (CO) – desirable Vehicle loading crane (CV) – desirable Heavy Vehicles and Earthmoving – desirable The Role: The position is full‑time however we are open to discussion regarding a roster that suits you. We have a range of days available for teaching between 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Weekend work may also be available. You may be a great fit if you have the following: A can‑do attitude and an upbeat personality Ability to multitask in a busy RTO environment Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously when required Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines with excellent problem‑solving and organisational skills Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrate solid experience as a Trainer/ Assessor and hold current industry skills Requirements Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging and relevant training & assessment services (combined theory and practical activities) Ensure content and delivery of accredited courses meets ASQA/ RTO Standards and other applicable regulations (i.e. Conditions of authorisation for Individual Assessors) Supervise students' behaviours and provide engaging and motivating training Maintain equipment, training venues and training aids to ensure they are serviceable, clean, tidy, and safe for operation Travel may be required to deliver training off‑site Perform other general duties as required Essential criteria: Cert IV TAE (plus upgrade units if required) Possess a High‑Risk Work Licence (HRWL) Demonstrated Lifting Operations experience within the construction/ civil, resources & infrastructure or training sectors Be accredited by WorkSafe as an Individual Assessor (or ability to gain accreditation, if applicable) Be eligible to obtain a Working Children Check Card and a Police Check You will need to be an Australian Resident Must hold valid Australian Drivers Licence Benefits Competitive pay ($130k + Super) with a $5k sign‑on bonus Caring and collaborative work environment Access to digital tools and other supportive resources to ensure a positive teaching experience Professional development opportunities Salary sacrificing #J-18808-Ljbffr
