Lecturers (Casual Role) in Business Administration (MBA) - Sydney Victorian Institute of Technology – Sydney CBD NSW Victorian Institute of Technology (VIT) is an established dual‑sector higher and vocational education provider offering IT and Business higher education programs. Lecturers in Business Administration (MBA) positions are available in 2025/2026 at our Sydney campus. These positions report directly to the Executive Dean / Dean of Business Studies. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent, an outstanding record of teaching relevant to the advertised positions below, enthusiasm for educating international students in Higher Education, a record of scholarly engagement in a relevant discipline and experience working collaboratively with partner organizations, industry and community groups. Employment Type: Casual Location: Sydney Candidates should be able to teach multiple units across Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Preference will be given to those who are able to teach in the following areas: Supply Chain Management and Operations Management Organizational Sustainability and Decision making Human Resource Management Organizational Behaviour Management Marketing/ Strategy and Innovation Quality Management Project Management Decision making and quantitative analysis Investment Management Corporate Finance Management Accounting and Finance Management Person Specifications: PhD in Business or DBS or related discipline, preceded by a degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent. At least 3 years of Higher Education postgraduate teaching experience in Australia or professional experience in the relevant field for a minimum of 3 years. Strong courseware development skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with online and blended students. Course administration and coordination experience. Strong IT skills (especially the MS Office suite of applications). Australian full work rights. Good knowledge of academic administration in a university setup is advantageous. Professional or hands‑on industry experience is advantageous. Responsibilities: Teach postgraduate level units face‑to‑face, to camera and online. Conduct tutorials and webinars and support student learning through active communication and consulting. Carry out assessment marking and maintain academic records. Prepare/develop quality learning materials that can support a multi‑mode blended learning environment. Undertake course management, coordination and administration tasks in areas of student recruitment, student progress, examinations, QA records management etc. Provide pastoral care and support to students. Participation in designated committee activities as required. Other duties as required. Travel: Inter‑campus travel at short notice as required.
