Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Ballajura, Full Time, Hospitality Vacancy Listing Dates 11/12/2025 to 8/01/2026 Please Quote Reference Number 14579 Overview The Alexander Bar & Bistro is a family‑friendly establishment in Ballajura, and we are seeking experienced and motivated Chefs/Cooks to join our kitchen team. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting high‑quality meals in line with our venue standards. The role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion controls and quality standards. Ensure food is presented in a consistent and appealing manner. Assist with menu development, specials and seasonal offerings. Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels, assist with stock rotation and minimise wastage. Work collaboratively with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service. Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines and venue policies. Support the Head Chef / Venue Manager with kitchen operations as required. Skills & Experience At least 2 years proven experience as a Chef, Cook or similar role in a busy kitchen. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Food Safety Certificate desirable). Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Creativity and passion for food presentation. Team player with excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as rostered. Qualifications (desirable but not essential) Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification. Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Salary A salary between $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
