Assistant Accountant – Ferntree Gully, VIC, AU Ferntree Gully Toyota are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day accounting tasks. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone looking to grow their accounting career in the automotive industry while working closely with a collaborative, experienced team of accountants. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and submit monthly BAS returns in line with ATO requirements. Support dealership cash flow through daily account maintenance and precise ledger accuracy. Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, including processing additions and disposals. Investigate and resolve financial queries raised by dealership management. Work alongside senior accountants on month‑end close, reporting tasks, and ad‑hoc financial projects. About you You’re organised, analytical, and enjoy being part of a professional team environment. You take initiative, work well under pressure, and are comfortable working both independently and with others. You’ll bring A tertiary qualification in accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial work. Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines. A proactive attitude and ability to work unsupervised. A team‑focused mindset with strong communication skills.
