Cleaner - Sandringham Hospital Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. Position: Support Services Cleaner (Theatre Department) Location: Sandringham Hospital Employment type: Casual and full‑time opportunities, including daytime, afternoon, night and weekend shifts. The Role We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Support Services cleaning team in our Theatre department. In this role you will provide high‑quality cleaning services, including the cleaning and making of patient trolleys, cleaning operating theatres and ED areas, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, residents, staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Clean operating theatres and ED areas according to infection control standards. Clean and make patient trolleys and related equipment. Maintain cleanliness of support service areas (gardens, grounds, distribution, security, ward support, food services, car parking). Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety and infection control principles. Manage time efficiently to meet set cleaning standards. Participate in shift‑based work including afternoon, night, weekend and PM shifts. Required Skills and Experience Background of cleaning experience within health facilities or equivalent. Experience in operating theatres and emergency department cleaning preferred. Excellent communication skills. High flexibility and motivation to achieve set standards.
