Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Own World Pty Ltd – Full Time, minimum 38 hours per week. Supply and Distribution Manager. Salary $78,000 + super. Experience required: Relevant Bachelor degree and 2 years work experience or minimum 5 years full-time employment experience may substitute for formal qualification. Job Objective: The Supply Chain & Distribution Manager (SC&DM) holds the senior position within Ownworld’s Operations Department responsible for the key areas of Administration, Purchasing, Logistics, Project Management as well as the management of Ownworld’s 3PL suppliers including warehousing, freight & installers. Flow Of Information & Document Control Ensure that Departmental document filing is consistently carried out to meet ISO9001 standards Supplier Communications & Negotiations Maintain an open dialogue, build rapport and negotiate best pricing and service levels with all manner of suppliers in the product delivery chain Purchasing Supervision Support Ownworld’s purchasing function at all times, particularly at times when quality, lead time or pricing matters arise. Logistical Supervision Support Ownworld’s logistics function at all times, particularly when time critical or delicate freight is being handled. Ensure the company is engaging the most suitable shippers, freight forwarders, 3rd party warehouses and installers to provide best handling based on budget and deadlines. Project Management Supervision Support Ownworld’s Project Management function at all times, particularly on large and complex installations when the SC&BM’s personal attendance may be required. 3PL Management Regularly critique and spot-check the performance, standards and costs of Ownworld’s network of 3PL’s in the areas of warehousing, freight and installation. Prepare business cases to seek alternative 3PL’s in the case of observed & repeated non-performance. Seek efficiencies in handling and systems associated with 3PL’s for tighter control in the movement, storage & handling of products. Consider alternative transport routes and methods for timing & cost improvements. Attend site visits to personally oversee standards of 3PL installers and track level of rectifications associated with each provider. Staff Management Training Operations Department staff ensuring their constant skills growth Develop and implement strategies and ideas for greater workplace enjoyment ERP System Maintenance & Updating Keep Options software information current in the Logistics and Stock areas Stock Control Ensure stock movement procedures are being correctly handled by all staff company-wide Manage the annual stocktake process and record findings in Options Develop creative strategies for effective sale or disposal of redundant items #J-18808-Ljbffr
