Senior Business Analyst – Launch Housing (Collingwood) Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne‑based community organisation committed to ending homelessness. About the opportunity The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) delivers high‑quality financial insight, analysis and reporting across Launch Housing. As a trusted adviser to business units, the SBA supports evidence‑based decision making through robust financial modelling, detailed cost analysis, comprehensive month‑end management reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Group Manager – Finance, the SBA leads a small finance team, manages budgeting and forecasting cycles, and provides clear, actionable advice that enhances organisational performance and sustainability. Key responsibilities Financial reporting planning and analysis: prepare monthly management reporting, variance analysis and exceptional reporting. Revenue recognition and compliance: maintain revenue matrix, manage government funding portal, and provide exception reporting. Financial planning develop budgets, forecasts and financial models aligned to organisational objectives. Business partner analysis: lead reviews of operational processes, evaluate financial impacts of new initiatives and develop KPIs. Strategic support: conduct scenario modelling, risk, sensitivity analysis, and forecast future trends. Maintain financial governance: ensure compliance with financial standards, internal policies and regulations while delivering insights that strengthen sustainability. What we’re looking for (key selection criteria) Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; postgraduate CPA or CA preferred. Proven experience in financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and liaison with budget owners. Leadership experience in a Finance Business Partnering team. Strong ERP accounting and MS Excel skills. High level problem‑solving, commercial awareness and ability to translate financial data for non‑finance stakeholders. Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines. Experience or exposure to the not‑for‑profit sector is highly regarded. Commitment to Launch Housing values and mission to end homelessness.
