We’re delivering a major upgrade at Barry Beach Marine Terminal for a long‑term client enabling them to decommission oil and gas rigs which has reached the end of their lifespan. This project will strengthen wharves, install massive piles, and construct heavy‑duty slabs and pavements in preparation for one of the most significant offshore transitions in decades, and this project is the foundation that makes it possible. We are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join our team and play a critical role in managing and coordinating design activities for this complex marine and civil works upgrade. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage design documentation for piling, reinforced concrete, drainage, and ground stabilisation works. Assist in selecting and awarding consultants and subcontractors. Provide value engineering during tender and design phases to optimise solutions. Review and resolve design clashes and ensure constructability. Prepare and submit design progress claims and detailed handover documentation. Drive continuous improvement and support innovation in design methodologies. About You Essential Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum 7 years’ experience in design coordination for large‑scale civil or marine infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of piling, reinforced concrete, drainage systems, and ground stabilisation techniques. Good understanding of industry standards, building codes, and integration of construction equipment and materials. Skills & Attributes Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in design software, PDF mark‑up tools (BlueBeam), and project platforms (Procore, SharePoint). Ability to manage multiple design packages under strict deadlines.
