Join Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Force’s wheels turning A great opportunity for a Storeperson to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Lavarack Barracks in Townsville, QLD. As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for conducting stores tasks, including account management and stocktakes. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Sites maintenance function. Benefits $32.72 an hour plus Super Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 2 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About The Role Unload goods and check them against order forms Catalogue or label items with storage details Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists Package and send out completed orders to customers Move heavy packages using forklift machinery Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers About You Demonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalent Exceptional customer service experience Forklift license required Driver’s License essential Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft and SAP systems are desirable Relevant professional qualifications are desirable You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
