Leading Hand Mechanic - Northgate, QLD Join us at Cleanaway as a Leading Hand Mechanic - Northgate, QLD in Northgate, Brisbane, QLD. Reporting to our on-site Maintenance Supervisor and Equipment Manager, you will be part of a 50+ vehicle fleet operation. The Opportunity Overseeing team maintenance tasks for compliance to maintenance and safety standards / procedures. Partnering with the Maintenance Supervisor on daily operational tasks, such as maintaining the company's computerised maintenance management system, paperwork processing, parts identification, and ordering. Carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and unplanned repair work on our fleet. Conducting test driving and / or operating vehicles to verify repairs have been completed to the required standard. Responsibilities Work Monday to Friday with an on-call weekend breakdown roster rotation and the opportunity for weekend overflow work. Earn $ per hour plus super. Have the opportunity to work in a full-time permanent role in Northgate, Brisbane, QLD. About You A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent). A valid HR licence and forklift high-risk license (preferred, but support is available to obtain if required). Experience with a range of makes and models of heavy vehicles and trailers, including those with waste bodies, electrics, and hydraulics. Computer literacy skills with experience in JDE (CMMS) and Microsoft Office programs. A focus on safety and sustainability. Good people skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
