e2Cyber is recruiting on behalf of a major defence program that is expanding its cyber engineering capability. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Linux focused security engineer to work on nationally significant projects within a highly skilled security engineering team. The role centres on the development, deployment and uplift of ICT security capabilities across complex enterprise environments. You will work alongside specialists in information assurance, security operations and incident response, with exposure to a broad range of modern security technologies. What You Will Do Support, manage and enhance ICT security capabilities across the environment Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Linux based platforms and security tools Contribute to uplift across endpoint security, server hardening, identity and privileged access Work with Dev Sec Ops practices and automation workflows Communicate with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors Assist with upgrades, enhancements and capability development across security tooling You will work across capability areas including Linux and RHEL administration Endpoint security CyberArk and identity management Container security and automation toolsets Dev Sec Ops workflows Vulnerability scanning and server hardening SIEM and visibility tooling About You NV1 AGSVA security clearance or higher Strong Linux administration or engineering experience Experience supporting and maintaining ICT or security capabilities Understanding of Dev Sec Ops, automation or scripting Knowledge of endpoint security, identity or privileged access management Background in server hardening or vulnerability management Desirable Linux or cybersecurity certifications Basic coding or scripting experience Networking knowledge Benefits Work on nationally significant defence capability Opportunities to develop skills in automation, Dev Sec Ops and container security Strong technical leadership and a supportive engineering team Long term program with clear career growth pathways Access to ongoing learning and training Please note: Due to the volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
