Job Description As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, your impact will be in providing consultancy and technical services to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects locally, nationally and internationally. Responsibilities Advising as a technical subject matter expert on water resources projects Supporting business development activities with new and existing clients to support the strategic direction of the Water Resources team Conducting risk assessments and advising feasible solutions to clients Assessment of water infrastructure (dams, levees, drainage works) from strategic planning to design and operation across a range of industries with a focus in the resources sector Application of technical fundamentals and flood modelling (hydrologic and hydraulic) and water balance modelling to a range of assessments including: Flooding and Surface Water Impact Assessments; Watercourse diversion design, monitoring, and rehabilitation; Water Management Plans; Erosion and Sediment Control Qualifications Minimum 6+ years of professional experience with demonstrated technical expertise in water resources engineering within a consultancy environment Relevant tertiary engineering degree (Civil, Environmental) Desire and willingness to work toward CPENG and/or RPEQ registration Demonstrated ability to build relationships, develop business and project manage Strong knowledge and application of local standards, Australian standards and statutory and regulatory requirements relating to civil design and water management Well‑rounded critical thinking and problem‑solving skills Good attitude to mentoring junior staff as and when required Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels Benefits Competitive remuneration and benefits A structured learning and development framework to align with career progression goals Brisbane CBD location with flexible working arrangements, including remote working options An inclusive team culture that celebrates performance and rewards accordingly Paid Primary and Secondary Carer Leave Policy, reflecting our commitment to work‑life balance Support structures like our Employee Assistance Program, professional mentoring, and buddy program for new starters Opportunities to work on special interest projects Opportunities to work across government, private and resource sectors Opportunities to travel for work across multiple offices Great cultural environment where teamwork and camaraderie are promoted and valued Supportive leadership based on openness We are open to considering this role on a full‑time, part‑time or job‑share basis.
