Join Logan Hospital’s Internal Medicine team as a Ward Clerk We’re seeking an organised and customer-focused Ward Clerk (AO3) to join Ward 2M, Internal Medicine at Logan Hospital. This permanent full‑time role provides essential administrative and reception support to clinical staff, patients, and visitors helping ensure smooth ward operations and outstanding patient experiences within a busy inpatient environment. Your new role: As the Ward Clerk, you'll play a key part in supporting patient flow, managing information systems, and maintaining administrative efficiency across the ward. You'll collaborate with clinical teams to provide timely and accurate information that supports safe and effective patient care. Key responsibilities: Provide front desk and reception support for patients, visitors, and staff. Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in HBCIS and iEMR. Maintain patient documentation, appointment bookings, and correspondence. Handle phone and email communication professionally and efficiently. Assist with ordering, stock management, and general ward administration. About you: You're a proactive, detail‑oriented administrator who thrives in fast‑paced healthcare settings. You bring excellent communication, strong computer skills, and a professional, compassionate approach to patient service. Experience in healthcare or ward administration (desirable). Strong knowledge of information systems such as HBCIS, iEMR, and S4HANA. Excellent organisational, data entry, and time management skills. Professional communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams. A commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient‑centred care.
