Our modern production facility features advanced CNC router technology and precision composite fabrication.We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator / Draftsperson & CNC Programmer to support our expanding manufacturing line. Position Overview This dual role combines hands-on CNC router operation with technical drafting and CNC programming duties. You will be responsible for converting drawings into accurate CNC machining files, operating the equipment, and ensuring composite components are produced to a high standard.You will work closely with engineering, production, and fabrication teams to ensure efficient workflow from design through to final machining. Key Responsibilities CNC Operation & Production Set up, operate, and maintain CNC routers used in fiberglass and composite panel manufacturing Perform tool changes, calibration, and minor machine maintenance Inspect machined components for accuracy, quality, and consistency Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety protocols Drafting & CNC Programming Produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings for composite components, assemblies, and jigs Generate and optimise CNC router programs (toolpaths, G-code) for cutting, routing, drilling, and finishing Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, customer specifications, and job requirements Troubleshoot CNC programming issues and improve machining efficiency Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and file management Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and workflow efficiency Assist with design modifications and manufacturing process improvements Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards across all tasks Skills & Qualifications Experience operating CNC routers or similar CNC machining equipment Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, etc.) Experience generating toolpaths and G-code for CNC routers Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD/CAM files Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting ability Familiarity with composite machining (fiberglass, foam cores, FRP skins, etc.) Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality-focused mindset Experience in caravans, truck bodies, or building/composite panel fabrication Knowledge of nesting software (EnRoute, VCarve, Alphacam, etc.) Understanding of CAM optimisation and material utilisation Knowledge of production workflow in composite manufacturing environments What We Offer Competitive pay/salary based on experience Start date Mid to end of January 2026 Supportive team environment with ongoing training Modern facility with advanced equipment and new technologies Opportunity to contribute to innovative products across multiple industries How to Apply with the subject line: CNC Router Operator / Draftsperson Application .We look forward to hearing from you Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
