Sports-enthusiastic male volunteer to visit an elderly man in Bayswater (VIC) Share your time during weekly or fortnightly visits with a friendly man living in an Aged Care Facility in Bayswater. Visits may be spent talking or sharing in a simple leisure activity together in the facility. If you have a shared interest in soccer (especially if an Arsenal fan), bike riding adventures or listening to music (classical music would be good) please get in touch Your regular visits can make a real and positive difference in the life of this resident - reducing social isolation and improving well-being. We ask volunteers to commit to fortnightly visits for at least 6 months; however this is an ongoing role & we hope to support your friendship for as long as possible. Volunteers receive training, orientation, ongoing support, travel reimbursement and invitations to meetings together with other visiting volunteers.
