Join a team of passionate engineers and technologists on a multi-year journey to transform our core customer technology stack. As a Solution Designer – Informatica , you’ll lead the design of scalable, high-performance ETL solutions that power our data transformation agenda. We embrace collaboration, innovation, and agile methodologies to shape the future of our technology landscape—be part of something big. Key Responsibilities Architect and design robust ETL solutions using Informatica, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ETL developers, promoting best practices in data engineering. Continuously evaluate and improve development workflows and tools to enhance efficiency. Offer expert advice on technical issues, solutions, and best practices across development teams. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to support their technical and professional growth. Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex cross-platform service issues during the application lifecycle. Ensure compliance with Westpac’s standards and regulatory obligations. What do I need? Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a major in Software Engineering (or equivalent). Extensive experience in IT, with a strong background in systems development, support, and maintenance. Deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and related tools, including ETL design, development, and performance tuning. Strong database management skills across Oracle , SQL Server , and Teradata , with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL . Experience in systems integration , shell scripting , and version control tools like Git and Bitbucket . Familiarity with other systems such as Oracle/Siebel is a plus.
