Our team is growing and we are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join us working from either our banking client’s Melbourne CBD office or if you live in Sydney, you can work from our Macquarie Park ISS Office. This role would be a 6 to 9 month fixed term contract (full time hours) .

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the role will be responsible for day to day accounts payable activities, statement reconciliation and resolving queries from internal and external stakeholders.

The Position:

General Duties:

  • Accurate data entry of subcontractor invoices against record in the CMMS (maintenance management) system.
  • Reconciliation of creditors statements to payables ledger.
  • Liaison with National Contact Centre (NCC) to ensure timely processing of purchase orders and good receipts.
  • Liaison with subcontractors to resolve any queries.
  • Work with Corporate Accounts Payable on monthly or weekly payment runs.
  • Work with vendor master data maintenance team.
  • Processing of authorised invoices to correct account codes
  • Ensure creditors are accurately paid within given time frames every month.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurately entered into the system.
  • Month End Tasks as required

Our ideal Candidate:

  • Accounting/Finance related qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Intermediate skills on Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good personal presentation
  • Solves problems quickly, demonstrating initiative to resolve difficult requests or situations.
  • Excellent guest relations, with emphasis on internal customer relations.
  • Handles tasks carefully and correctly, shows urgency in getting the work done.
  • Stays calm and focused in high pressure situations.
  • Uses professional telephone manner when dealing with account enquiries
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail with all duties undertaken and completes tasks with appropriate follow-through
  • Maintains confidentiality of information and situations observed whilst working in accounts environment.
  • Willing to complete background/probity check (National Police Check)
