Location and Compensation Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra (other locations considered) Salary range: $97,401~$115,820 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation Permanent role Applications close at 11:59pm AEDT, Thursday 11 December 2025 The Team The Strategic Reporting team sits within Planning & Performance in the Enterprise Services Group. The team provides analytical and reporting services to ASIC's senior executive leadership and regulatory teams, preparing reports that enable effective monitoring of ASIC's enforcement and regulatory performance. As custodians of ASIC's performance reporting data, the team ensures the quality, consistency, and integrity of information used in decision-making, supporting ASIC's strategic objectives. The Role As a Reporting Analyst, you will develop and produce a range of regulatory and operational reporting products for various committees and regulatory teams. You will extract, interpret, and analyse data to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reports. Responsibilities Design, develop, and produce reports using business intelligence tools to inform executive decision-making. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure reports are fit-for-purpose. Collaborate with team members and IT to develop new analytical reporting products and ensure information systems capture required data. Apply analytical and conceptual skills to resolve problems and communicate findings clearly to a range of audiences. Maintain and develop processes and procedures for reporting, ensuring quality and accuracy. Respond to ad hoc requests for statistics and information from senior leaders and stakeholders. Qualifications We are seeking a Reporting Analyst with a relevant tertiary qualification in economics, accounting, marketing, social research, or equivalent work experience in performance reporting and analysis, ideally gained in a regulatory environment or a government agency. Experience applying analytical and conceptual skills in data analysis and developing quality reporting products. At least 3 years' experience using advanced analytics and reporting software (e.g., Power BI, Databricks, Python, SQL) and advanced MS Excel skills. Ability to access, analyse, and collate data from disparate sources to develop reports and address ad hoc queries. Ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear insights for stakeholders. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. Experience partnering with IT to ensure information systems capture required data. Ability to manage reporting tasks within tight timeframes and be accountable for outcomes. Understanding of legislative frameworks, terminology, and processes relevant to regulatory reporting. Working knowledge of reporting in a regulatory or law enforcement environment is desirable.
