Event Coordinator – Maternity Cover (Saturdays required) Merci Group – Wedding & Events Team We're searching for a warm, organised, and hospitality-minded Event Coordinator to join our Wedding & Events team at Merci Group. This is a casual role, working 2 nights per week (including Saturdays), supporting couples on their special day and ensuring every detail runs seamlessly. This position is expected to run for 1-2 years to cover maternity leave. About the Role As Event Coordinator , you'll be the calm and friendly presence behind the scenes. You'll liaise with couples, coordinate suppliers, and oversee the flow of the evening—making sure everything is stress‑free and memorable. What You'll Do Be the key point of contact for couples on their wedding day Liaise with suppliers and venue staff to ensure smooth operations Oversee timings and event logistics Provide a warm, professional, and reassuring presence throughout the night Troubleshoot any issues with grace and efficiency About You This role is perfect for someone who: Loves creating unforgettable experiences Has a passion for exceptional, well‑travelled hospitality Has 1‑2 years of wedding or event management experience You’ll be personable, detail‑driven, and thrive in a celebratory environment where no two nights are the same.
