Marketing and Events Coordinator

We're seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator to join the team at JCUVet You will lead and co-ordinate our marketing efforts across web, social media, referral and community networks. This role reports to the Business Support Manger and offers a unique mix of nurturing our community driven relationships and engaging in consumer marketing. This is a permanent part-time role, working 20 hours per week. The position involves occasional travel and requires availability to support events outside regular hours, with time off in lieu provided. What You'll Be Doing: Develop Marketing and Communication Plans: Implement marketing and communication strategies across both B2B and B2C sectors, including a schedule of activities that reflect our commitment to regular engagement. Produce Engaging Content: Work collaboratively with external agencies to create content for various platforms that resonates with our audience, reflecting our dedication to quality information and awareness. Maintain Effective Media Relations: Foster relationships with media outlets to effectively communicate JCUVet’s achievements and initiatives, showcasing our role in the community and industry. Organise and Manage Events: Plan events that connect with our diverse stakeholders and networks, demonstrating our commitment to inclusivity, education and community engagement. Oversee Digital Marketing Campaigns: Manage digital marketing efforts, using analytics to guide strategy and ensure our approach is data-driven and results-focused. Update and Maintain Website: Keep our website current and engaging, ensuring it accurately represents JCUVet and serves as an effective information and engagement tool. Track and Report Performance: Regularly evaluate the success of various initiatives using relevant metrics and KPIs, aiming for continual improvement and growth. Promote the Veterinary Industry: Actively participate in initiatives that support and elevate the veterinary industry, enhancing our relationships within the professional community and affirming our commitment to industry advancement. Who We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, and relevant experience in a similar role Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc), WordPress CMS and Mailchimp. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Experience with SEO and website content. Strong organisational abilities and experience managing small events. Creative and strategic thinker. A team player with strong interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and able to deliver on agreed timelines. Adaptable and flexible to meet varying workloads and responsibilities.
