About the role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Manager to join AssetBM. This full-time role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment complex in Oakleigh, Melbourne. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining the building to a high standard, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and improving the overall resident experience. What you’ll be doing Overseeing all aspects of building operations, including maintenance, repairs, contractor performance, and security. Coordinating and supervising contractors, service providers, and on-site personnel to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and building regulation requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact for residents, responding to enquiries with professionalism, clarity and empathy. Implementing and managing preventative maintenance programmes to enhance asset condition and resident satisfaction. Preparing detailed written reports, updates, and business cases relating to building performance and issues. What we’re looking for Experience in a leadership and stakeholder management role within Hotels, Property Management, or Facilities Management. Strong leadership qualities with a natural ability to set and uphold high personal standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with residents, contractors, and committee members. A customer-service mindset paired with well-honed organisational skills and attention to detail. Tech-savvy, adaptable, and comfortable using digital tools to improve workflows and reporting.
