Video Editor (6-Month Contract) The Role The Video Editor reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for planning, editing, and delivering high-quality video content that supports Jomablue’s marketing, sales, internal onboarding, and customer success initiatives. This role crafts engaging visual narratives that enhance brand awareness, product understanding, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll collaborate across business functions to ensure video content aligns with company goals, project timelines, and audience expectations. You must be motivated and passionate about great service. Within a small team, you understand that working closely with others and pitching in when necessary helps our team be stronger and reach our goals. This is a flexible position with the opportunity to mix office and home work environments. This is a maximum-term contract role for a period of six months with the potential to be extended. When and Where This is a full-time role based in our Ultimo, NSW office. Your Duties Plan, edit and produce a minimum of three high-quality video assets weekly to support marketing and sales campaigns. Create one monthly feature release video to be used in newsletters and across Jomablue platforms. Maintain and refresh video content for Jomablue’s onboarding programs, internal documentation, and customer support. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, and People Experience teams to develop video assets tailored to various audiences. Develop visual storytelling concepts and scripts in alignment with campaign goals and brand tone. Support production of video content for Jomablue award submissions and product showcases. Manage and organise video asset libraries for reuse, versioning, and archival. Ensure videos meet accessibility and best-practice standards across all formats. Provide input and feedback on content strategy related to video use across platforms. Support production tasks such as tagging and testing of equipment for event readiness. Stay informed about advancements in AI tools and technologies that enhance video editing, animation, scripting, and content ideation. Actively test and adopt relevant innovations to streamline production workflows and elevate creative output. Own the regular maintenance and updating of video/photo files of Jomablue staff and technology in use at events and engage with external videographers periodically to capture new footage. Skills and Experience While we list some skills and experience items below, we are focused on finding the right person who wants to learn. 3+ years of experience in video production, animation, AV or related field. Strong skills in video editing, color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics. Excellent storytelling and scriptwriting skills with a creative eye for visual composition. Experience delivering video assets on time and to spec across a range of platforms (socials, website, internal systems). Strong project and time management skills with attention to detail. Comfortable collaborating across departments and interpreting creative briefs. Ability to manage and organise digital content libraries effectively. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools or formats. Basic understanding of brand voice, content marketing, and audience engagement. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Curiosity and openness to exploring AI-powered creative tools and platforms for workflow automation, ideation, and editing efficiency. Experience in animation or visual effects. Familiarity with platforms such as Camtasia, Figma, or Canva. Knowledge of social media algorithms and video performance metrics. Experience using Airtable, Miro, Wrike, or other project management tools. Exposure to SaaS or event tech industries.
