Your New Role As the Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will lead key financial accounting functions across Guild Insurance. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will provide strategic financial insights to support business growth, manage statutory and regulatory reporting and oversee reinsurance accounting. This role is pivotal in ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement across finance operations. What you'll be doing Manage financial accounting processes including monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, supplier coding and end-of-month consolidated management accounts Oversee investment accounting and manage weekly cashflow forecasting to support financial planning Manage lease accounting and reporting in line with AASB16 Lead statutory and regulatory reporting including GST, APRA, Fire Service Levy, Stamp Duty and other compliance requirements Lead reinsurance reporting and reconciliation including proportional and non-proportional treaties and terrorism & Cyclone reporting Provide leadership and coaching to a small team and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support strategic initiatives Contribute to strategic initiatives and actuarial data reconciliation What you'll bring with you You bring a strong attention to detail and well developed problem solving skills. You are process oriented with a continuous improvement mindset and critically, you take a hands‑on approach to your work. You thrive in team environments and actively contribute to shared outcomes. You have experience leading a small team or supervising others and are inspired by the opportunity to coach, support and bring out the best in others. Qualifications and experience Bachelor of Accounting and CPA or CA qualification Experience in the insurance industry and insurance accounting would be ideal; however, it is likely you have worked in a financial services business where you have had exposure to statutory reporting Experience leading small teams or supervising others work.
