The Rural and Remote Solutions (RRS) Promotion Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for individuals interested in exploring Family Day Care (FDC). This role provides hands‑on support and connects with community stakeholders to promote FDC as a viable employment opportunity in rural and remote communities across South Australia. The Family Day Care programme, within the Department for Education, focuses on enriching the lives of South Australian children and their families by providing and coordinating high‑quality home‑based childcare. The service enables families with dependent children to participate in the workforce and the broader community through their involvement in the programme. The Coordinator is accountable to the RRS Manager in supporting and promoting the establishment of home‑based childcare in regional and remote communities, resulting in the effective delivery of the FDC programme in accordance with Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment guidelines and early childhood policies. The RRS FDC Promotions Coordinator engages with community stakeholders to advocate for FDC as a viable and flexible employment opportunity in rural and remote communities, including collaboration with family support services, councils, volunteer groups, play groups, governing councils, local universities and training organisations. They work in partnership with potential educators toward establishing inclusive, developmentally and environmentally appropriate home‑based childcare environments to support local communities and the well‑being of children. Locations Applicants from the following regional areas are encouraged to apply (please see preference sheet for specific locations): Yorke Peninsula: (Maitland, Minlaton, Ardrossan, Port Victoria) South‑East Riverland: (Barmera, Loxton, Renmark or Waikerie) Qualifications Essential: Nil. Desirable: Certificate III in Early Childhood, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate IV in Marketing and Communications. Knowledge of early childhood care and education programmes and/or community engagement is highly desirable. Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment, which must be renewed every five years. The incumbent will also be required to undertake the RRHAN‑EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online Fundamentals course, which must be updated every three years. Remuneration ASO4: $76,561 – $80,256 per annum (1.0 FTE) adjusted to actual hours worked plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading. #J-18808-Ljbffr
