Our Road and Tree Services Team is seeking a new Coordinator Road and Tree Services. Purpose: The aim of this role is to coordinate activities and manage and develop staff involved in the maintenance and construction of Council’s Road & Drainage assets and in the protection and preservation of Councils’ Urban Forest. Including a focus of the role in the motivation and leading of staff within their department to ensure they are effective in cultural change and day to day operations. About the role: Manage the daily operations of the Road and Tree Services teams within allocated and budgetary constraints and on a basis, which is competitive with external providers. Train, develop and motivate staff to ensure that the team’s objectives are coordinated and effectively integrated providing a flexible service to the local community. Manage the operation of the section to ensure the asset is effectively maintained to ensure that the life cycle of the Roads & Drainage asset is maximised. Manage the protection and preservation of Councils Urban Forest including maintenance and approvals. About you: Degree in a related discipline (civil construction and/or arboriculture) or demonstrable equivalent experience in a related discipline. Proven ability to consistently lead and motivate teams. Ability to control a number of projects simultaneously to ensure resources are managed appropriately.
