About the role The Learning and Development Lead will play a pivotal role in launching the Inspectorate Academy, a critical project for the organisation. While the Academy is the primary deliverable, this role will also contribute expertise to broader L&D initiatives and team objectives. In this full‑time, 6‑month contract, you will lead the design and implementation of robust learning journeys and training pathways, ensuring all outputs align with our capability framework and compliance standards. Here’s what you’ll do Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, this role will: – Lead the Inspectorate Academy project: Manage the end-to-end coordination of the Academy's rollout, ensuring the onboarding experience and training deliverables are executed on time, within scope, and meet organisational objectives. – Support broader L&D priorities: Assist the Learning and Development Manager with other key capability projects and operational requirements, contributing to the wider success of the People & Culture function as needed. Design, develop, and map learning journeys and training pathways, integrating compliance requirements and organisational priorities. Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, documentation, stakeholder communication, and maintenance of accurate records. Develop and maintain project plans, track progress, report on milestones, and support content development in collaboration with subject matter experts. Troubleshoot project-related issues and propose practical, solution-focused recommendations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance learning experiences, project efficiency, and program quality. We’re looking for someone with Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail. Prior understanding of learning journeys, training pathways, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience supporting or leading projects from initiation through to completion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships. Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in learning design or developing instructional content using Articulate Rise 360 is highly desirable. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards) is highly desirable. Previous experience in Learning & Development or HR project coordination.
