Join the frontline of your community’s water future and become a Civil Operator in Wyalkatchem Are you a hands‑on, self‑sufficient Civil Operator who thrives working independently in the field? We’re looking for a capable and motivated individual to join our small team in Wyalkatchem, where you will play a vital role in maintaining water quality across a vast and critical network. Think of it like this, when a pipe bursts at home, you call a plumber. But when it happens underground on your street, it’s the Water Corporation Civil Operator who keeps the taps flowing for everyone. As a Civil Operator, you’re more than a tradie You're a key part of the community, working outdoors, using your hands and head to keep the water network running smoothly. From digging trenches to restoring burst mains, you'll be doing work that matters, every single day. What You’ll Be Doing: Contributing to safe job planning, team discussions, and regular workplace inspections. Prioritising safety in every task, working with a zero-harm mindset where no injury is acceptable, and health and wellbeing are never compromised. Operating, maintaining, monitoring, and repairing water and wastewater infrastructure, operational sites, and public facilities as needed. Being available for overtime and participating in the on-call roster when required. This role suits someone who: Has strong problem‑solving skills and a practical mindset and able to work in a small team Can quickly familiarise themselves with the regional layout and pipeline network Sounds good, what’s in it for me? Your full‑time roster will consist of a 9‑day fortnight, meaning every second week you will have a 3‑day weekend (RDO) to enjoy doing the things you love. Leave loading of 17.5% on annual leave. 2 Wellbeing days every 12 months of continuous service to attend to your mental health and wellbeing. 24th December paid leave day. Generous Superannuation Co‑Contribution scheme, which offers up to 16%. This includes 12% standard Employer contribution, plus an additional 2% Employer co‑contribution that matches your own 2% contribution. Purchase additional leave of up to 12 weeks or work 4 years at a reduced salary and take the fifth year off as paid leave Key skills and experience. Western Australian ‘C’ Class minimum ‘HR’ Class Drivers Licence desirable. Experience in civil work and/or water supply systems.
