Swimming Instructor We are looking for an inspirational Swimming Instructor with a passion for SEND and a creative, innovative approach to join The Bridge School. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality swimming lessons to children aged 4–19, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum or have a range of communication, physical and profound learning difficulties. Working Conditions Contract: Part‑time, Permanent (27.5 hours/week, 38 weeks/year – Monday to Friday 09:00‑15:00). Location: Ipswich, England. Start date: January 2026. Salary: Grade 5, SP 16‑20 – £32,596 – £36,362 (FTE) or £20,257 – £22,597 (actual). Responsibilities Plan and deliver weekly swimming lessons for all children. Provide individual 1:1 support lessons to pupils requiring additional assistance. Work collaboratively with special education leaders to support pupil progress and enhance the learning experience. Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all learners. Qualifications Teaching or coaching qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Diploma in Physical Education or equivalent). Experience working with SEND pupils or a similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
