About the Role: Join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant (ESA) on a part‑time, ongoing basis to work at Casey Hospital. You will support the General Services Manager and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe hospital environment across clinical and non‑clinical areas. Key Responsibilities Deliver general and detailed cleaning of wards, offices, and public areas Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols at all times Follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment Manage waste removal and disposal procedures safely and responsibly Maintain cleaning schedules and documentation Report maintenance or safety hazards promptly Collaborate with clinical and support teams to deliver service excellence Ensure patient privacy and dignity at all times Complete relevant workplace training modules Distribute and collect linen Positions Available Position 1: Emergency Department (Roster allocations are subject to change) Days: Monday and FridayHours: 1:30 pm – 8:00 pmTotal Hours per Fortnight: 24 hours Position 2: Public Area (Roster allocations are subject to change) Days: Wednesday and ThursdayHours: 2:00 pm – 9:00 pmTotal Hours per Fortnight: 26 hours Position 3: Imaging (Roster allocations are subject to change) Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and FridayHours: 5:30 am – 11:30 amTotal Hours per Fortnight: 44 hours About You You will bring experience in environmental services within a hospital or commercial cleaning setting, strong knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices, and reliable, punctual teamwork skills. You possess clear verbal and written communication abilities and consistently follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions.
