Job Details Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until June 2027 Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration: $58.82 - $60.75 per hour Hours Per Week: Up to 32 hours per week Requisition ID: REQ Applications Close: Thursday, 11th December 2025 at 11:59pm Interview Date: Anticipated interview date of Tuesday, 16th December 2025 Overview An exciting opportunity in Child and Family Health to be part of a new multi‑disciplinary team on the Central Coast, delivering sustained home visiting for children and families. This pilot project is an adaptation of the existing Sustaining NSW Families (SNF) program and works in partnership with parents to optimise the child’s physical, social and emotional development and wellbeing. The SNF Plus program commences during pregnancy until the child is 2 years of age. The role will work collaboratively with the Social Work home visitor and wider multi‑disciplinary team to deliver the structured program to families. What you’ll be doing The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Child & Family Health is responsible for delivering complex specialist nursing care and leading development of specialist clinical practice in relation to health screening, assessment and an advisory service to families with children aged 0 to 5 years. The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 has a leadership role in service delivery to provide effective quality care for clients with complex care needs, infant feeding, developmental assessment, facilitation of groups and promoting practice development and quality initiatives that enhance best practice. About you You will have core and expanded child and family health nursing competencies to practice at an advanced level of nursing. This includes comprehensive knowledge of child growth and development and perinatal and infant mental health. A reflective practitioner who is passionate about working with families, early intervention and creating positive outcomes for parents and children Ability to work with a strengths based, partnership approach and a trauma informed lens to develop therapeutic relationships with families Work in a culturally safe capacity Willing to complete the SNF advanced nurse practice training Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.
