Project Manager – Clinical Practice Development (Youth Mental health) Fixed term until 29/05/2026 Part Time (0.6 FTE) Required professional registrations: AHPRA or AASW Remuneration SCHCADS level 7.1 dependent on qualifications and experience 5 Weeks Annual Leave Up to $15,900 for living expenses + up to $2,600 towards meals and entertainment can be tax‑free through NFP Salary Packaging About the position headspace is commissioned by South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network through Australian Government Promoting Better Mental Health – Youth Mental Health Initiative funding. the lead agency, YSAS is the signatory organisation and fund holder for headspace Collingwood, headspace Frankston (inclusive of the headspace Rosebud satellite site), and as such is the employer organisation. headspace is based around a consortium model, in which the headspace centre brings together key local organisations experienced in the delivery of primary care, mental health, alcohol and drug services, social welfare and vocational education for young people. This strategic alliance aims to establish a localised community of collaborative youth services improving access for young people aged 12-25 years at risk or suffering from mental health and alcohol and other drug issues. To lead and coordinate strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the clinical practice of senior clinical practitioners within the headspace service, ensuring evidence‑based, youth‑centred, and recovery‑oriented care. The role will focus on professional development, clinical governance improvements, and service innovation. The clinical practice development plan as an output of this targeted project will inform the structures, systems and processes required to ensure an integrated and multidisciplinary service is delivered of the highest possible standard aligned to the headspace Model Integrity Framework and other evidence‑based clinical guidelines. The project seeks to elevate the role our senior practitioners play in the support of clinical governance, day to day oversight and practice guidance for the headspace Intake & Access team inclusive of a growing early career and student placement workforce, in consultation with the principal practitioner and program clinical leaders. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to support and develop senior clinicians in clinical leadership and operational oversight functions. Strong understanding of evidence‑based, youth‑centred, and recovery‑oriented clinical practice aligned to the headspace model care. Proven experience in managing strategic projects, including stakeholder engagement, reporting, and evaluation. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Ability to contribute to service innovation and workforce development. Demonstrated commitment to improving outcomes for young people experiencing mental health challenges.
