Position : Retail Buyer Position Type : Full-Time Salary : $77,975 plus superannuation per annum Location : Prahran VIC 3181 Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Buyer to join their team located in Prahran, Victoria. Duties and Responsibilities : Keep track of sales levels and stock levels of various product items including garment fabrics, fashions, clothing, accessories, bags, shoes, and gift items. Efficiently respond to urgent re-stocking needs when the demands for the above product items suddenly surge. Negotiate with suppliers on prices and promotional discounts, and delivery arrangements. Using the concepts of costing, marginal contributions, overhead allocations and other skills to systemically formulate strategies for product pricing. Organise up-to-date seasonal displays in the retail stores, at the shop front windows and for sales promotion from time to time at short-term kiosks in shopping centres. Work together with management and other staff on marketing and promotional campaigns. With the objective of not to miss out sales due to understocking, and not to strain cash liquidity by overstocking, devise restocking policies by considering the delivery lead times, the changing popularity trend of product items, and budgetary constraints. Keep up-to-date knowledge on market trends and consumer trends to decide on the product items to be purchased for selling. Attend local and overseas exhibitions and trade fairs to buy fashionable product items. Requirements : Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in relevant field At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed A minimum of four (4) years of prior experience as a Retail Buyer Demonstrated experience working with garment fabrics, fashion apparel, clothing, accessories, bags, shoes, and gift items. #J-18808-Ljbffr
