As a family‑owned business, we take pride in delivering high‑quality roadworks, footpaths, sporting courts, driveways, and bitumen repair services across both metropolitan and regional South Australia. With strong demand across residential, government, commercial and civil works, we are expanding our leadership capability and seeking a hands‑on Project Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the successful delivery of projects of all sizes. About the Role Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of asphalt and bitumen projects ranging from residential driveways to council road upgrades and sports‑court resurfacing. You will manage the daily workflow of our crews, liaise with clients, schedule plant and materials, and ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently and to Pro Bitumen's high‑quality standards. This position offers a strong mix of office‑based scheduling and on‑site leadership. It suits a proactive, organised and practical operator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys getting the best out of people and processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day asphalt and bitumen repair operations Plan and manage project schedules, resourcing and crew allocations Coordinate works across a wide variety of projects: Roads, footpaths, and council infrastructure Sports‑court construction and resurfacing Driveways and residential works Patching, pothole repair and maintenance Lead and support crews, driving safety, quality and consistency Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and suppliers Manage job documentation, reporting, and site audits Assist with quoting, variations and basic project cost control Provide solutions to on‑site challenges and maintain production efficiency Contribute to continuous improvement, equipment utilisation and workflow optimisation About You You will bring a solid background in asphalt, bitumen, civil construction or road maintenance, and be confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
